This year Michael was awarded the ‘Thought Leader
Mentor of the Year’ award in recognition of his innovative and groundbreaking
approaches to helping his clients develop and grow their business, and be
recognised as Thought Leaders in their industry
Born in the UK Michael was raised in Africa and New
Zealand and works extensively in Australia and New Zealand, where he now lives.
Michael graduated from Auckland University in 1985 with degrees in Anthropology
and History. He has built on the knowledge gained from these degrees, travelling
extensively while studying over 70 cultures and tribes in more than 40
countries.
However Michael is no stranger to business, having
worked in and for organisations, for nearly thirty years. His unique combination
of Anthropological skills and practical business experience enables him to
support clients in a variety of ways to unlock the power of their organization’s
cultures.
Possessing a degree in Anthropology and being highly
experienced in Axiology (the science a human values) means that Michael’s strong
grounding in social sciences ensures that his work is practical, evidence based
and always focused on performance.
Michael has worked with companies such as; Coca
Cola, Vodafone, Canon, GHD engineering, TVNZ, Lion Nathan, Kordia, Canon,
Microsoft, Bayleys Real-estate, Vector, along with government departments,
professional sports teams, the military and schools.
He is acknowledged as a pioneer on finding and
teaching ways to unlock the power of culture to leaders in all types of
organizations.
Michael is best selling author of 4 books on the
impact and benefits of mastering company culture and human values and his
expertise is drawn upon by Auckland University where he is the guest lecturer on
company culture at Auckland University Business School. |
