Surely it is time to plumb the brains of the poets and the visionaries. The Australian tradition is commonly defined as egalitarianism, mateship, [and] the fair go. These ideals should be sought after without simply reiterating cliches. It is important to have ideas which inspire and unite us in some way that goes beyond the everyday, beyond briefs, press releases and poll-pushed policies.
