Elyssebeth is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at the University of Technology, Sydney. She teaches and researches the design and use of simulations and games as learning tools and processes in academic and workplace contexts. Specific applications include teamwork, project and change management, and organisational development.

One aspect of her research concerns developing simulations for use in training for crisis and emergency situations.
