Michael Henderson

A Director of values @ work ltd Corporate Anthropologists specialising in personal and organisational values alignment.

Michael became fascinated with values and how they relate to our motivation and decision-making, as a result of a life changing experience of being lost in the Sahara desert in 1986.

Michael has worked in a number of roles ranging from Advertising Sales, Retail sales, Sales trainer, Telemarketing trainer, and Neuro Linguistic Performance coach.

Michael has travelled extensively in Africa, South America and Europe.

Michael’s achievements and qualifications:

  • B.A Auckland University in History and Anthropology. 
  • Master Trainer of the Values Inventory Methodology from the Minessence Group, Brisbane, Australia. 
  • Designer of the Finding True North personal values method. 
  • Certified Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner.
  • Master Practitioner of Belief Management process. 
  • With his wife Shar Michael researcher and designed the Razors Edge Sports Psychology Programme as used by the Auckland Blues, The NZ Olympic Athletes, and the NZ touch teams, Auckland Cricket, and leading squash players.
  • Author of five books: The But Stops Here, The Me Degree, Values at Work and Finding True North *, Leading Through Values.
* Winner of the 2004 Ashton Wylie Book Award for best book in the personal growth personal development.
